Business model: How StatsBet Makes Money

StatsBet.org is a free sports betting tips platform. We don’t charge for our predictions, match analyses, or betting guides. So how do we keep the lights on?

The short answer: affiliate partnerships with licensed bookmakers.

In Brief

StatsBet earns commission when you click our bookmaker links and sign up. This funds our operations but never influences our ratings, tips, or editorial content. We only partner with licensed, reputable bookmakers — and we review sites we’re not affiliated with too. Your trust matters more than any commission.

What Are Affiliate Partnerships?

When you click a link to a bookmaker on our site and create an account, we may receive a commission from that bookmaker. This is standard practice across comparison and review sites in many industries — from travel to finance to betting.

There are typically three ways we might earn:

Model How It Works
Revenue Share We receive a small percentage of the net revenue the bookmaker earns from you over time
CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) We receive a one-time fixed payment when you register and make a first deposit
Hybrid A combination of an upfront payment plus ongoing revenue share

The exact arrangement varies by bookmaker and market.

Does This Affect Our Ratings or Tips?

No. Our editorial process is completely independent from our commercial partnerships.

Pros
  • We rate and review bookmakers we have no affiliate relationship withCommission rates never influence star ratings or rankingsOur betting tips are based on data and statistics, not commercial interestsWe openly criticise bookmakers — including partners — when warranted
Cons
  • We cannot claim to be 100% free from commercial considerations — no affiliate site canSome bookmakers we’d like to partner with don’t operate affiliate programmes

Our reputation depends on trust. If we recommended poor bookmakers or gave bad tips just to earn commission, you’d leave — and rightly so. Our long-term success is tied directly to yours.

How You Can Spot Affiliate Links

We aim to be transparent about which links earn us money:

  • Links to bookmaker sign-up pages are typically affiliate links
  • Buttons with text like “Visit Site”, “Claim Bonus”, or “Sign Up” are affiliate links
  • Links within our bookmaker reviews pointing to the operator are affiliate links

Internal links to other StatsBet pages (tips, guides, match predictions) are never affiliate links.

Our Editorial Standards

To maintain independence between our commercial and editorial operations:

  • Separate processes: Our content team creates ratings and reviews using consistent criteria, without input from partnership discussions
  • Data-driven tips: Our predictions come from statistical models and expert analysis — not commercial considerations
  • Licensed operators only: We only feature bookmakers holding valid licences from recognised gambling authorities (MGA, UKGC, DGA, SGA, and others)
  • Honest reviews: We highlight both strengths and weaknesses of every bookmaker we assess
